Steven D. Saxon

In 1992, Mr. Saxon co-founded Legacy Capital Company, a real estate investment firm specializing in land investment and development opportunities. For the last 23 years, Mr. Saxon has been responsible for conducting due diligence, performing pre-development services and negotiating the purchase and sale of commercial land.

From 2009 through 2011, in addition to maintaining Legacy Capital, Mr. Saxon joined Realty Capital Partners, overseeing the real estate department, which managed over 90 existing assets and performed the due diligence on over $60 million of equity invested into 20+ development projects. Prior to entering the real estate business, Mr. Saxon worked in the oil and gas business.

Mr. Saxon is on the Board of Directors of Nexus Recovery Center.  Mr. Saxon graduated from Harvard University with a BA in History and from Columbia University with an MBA in Finance.

 

Peter M. Aberg

Mr. Aberg has nearly 28 years of experience in the real estate industry.  He became a partner at Legacy Capital Company in 2002 where his responsibilities include the acquisition of large land investments.  Prior to joining Legacy, he opened the Jones Lang LaSalle Dallas office. During his five-year tenure with JLL, Mr. Aberg was responsible for managing the Dallas office, establishing new services such as project management and corporate real estate services with corporate clients such as EDS, Sprint and Clear Channel Communications.

Prior to Jones Lang LaSalle, Mr. Aberg worked as a sales manager with Grubb & Ellis.  He had oversight of a 65-person sales team and the office’s sales production, which grossed $10 million in revenue.  Mr. Aberg also spent 3 years with Bank One in the early 1990’s in the bank’s REO group and disposed of over $100 million of real estate.  Mr. Aberg began his real estate career at Henry S. Miller Company in 1983, where he became a top land and investment sales producer.

Mr. Aberg serves on the board of the Aberg Center for Literacy.  Mr. Aberg graduated from the University of Kansas with a BBA.

 

Kevin M. Watson

Mr. Watson has an extensive background in commercial real estate.  His 30 plus years of experience encompass investment, entitlement, development, brokerage and lending.  He joined Legacy Capital Company in 2014.  Prior to joining Legacy, from 2004 through 2013 he was the Director of Investments for Texas, then President of the Land Division, and ultimately Chief Investment Officer for Stratford Land, a Dallas-based national land investment manager.  While with Stratford, he and his team placed over $750 million in debt and equity investments.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Watson worked with Woodmont Companies, a Fort Worth-based retail development company, as a Development Partner and then as their Chief Operating Officer.  He also worked with national banks in management and new business development roles, and began his real estate career as a commercial broker with Preston Carter Company and with Carlisle Property Company.

Mr. Watson is a member of the Urban Land Institute.  He graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a BBA and an MBA.
